Hanoi (VNA) – President Tran Dai Quang and hisspouse hosted the official welcome ceremony for the Republic of Korea (RoK)’sPresident Moon Jae-in and his spouse in Hanoi on March 23 morning.
The Vietnamese officials at the welcome ceremonyincluded Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh, Chairman ofthe Presidential Office Dao Viet Trung, Minister of Industry and Trade TranTuan Anh, Minister of Science and Technology Chu Ngoc Anh, Minister of Labour,Invalids and Social Affairs Dao Ngoc Dung, and Vietnamese Ambassador to the RoKNguyen Vu Tu.
After the talks following the welcome ceremony,Presidents Tran Dai Quang and Moon Jae-in witnessed the signing of somecooperation documents, including a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on sendingand receiving RoK – Vietnamese workers under the employment permit schemebetween the Vietnamese Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs and theRoK Ministry of Employment and Labour.
The Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Tradeand the RoK Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy signed a MoU on the actionprogramme on trade cooperation for 2018-2020, and another on cooperation insupporting industry.
A MoU on cooperation in the context of the fourthIndustrial Revolution was inked by the Vietnamese and RoK ministries ofinformation and communications. Meanwhile, the Vietnamese Ministry of Transportand the RoK Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport signed a MoU oncooperation in infrastructure, transport and transport technology development.The RoK Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport also signed another MoUon cooperation in urban construction and development with the VietnameseMinistry of Construction.
Also on March 23 morning, President Tran DaiQuang and Moon Jae-in visited the President Ho Chi Minh relic site. Earlier thesame day, the RoK leader laid a wreath and paid tribute to President Ho ChiMinh at his mausoleum in Hanoi.
