Presidential Office asked to stay focus to fulfil tasks for rest of 2025

Hanoi (VNA) - State President Luong Cuong has asked the Presidential Office to maintain a high level of focus and effectively implement a set of tasks on domestic and international for the rest of the year, which he highlighted as heavy.

At a working session with the office on June 2, the State leader acknowledged and praised the efforts of the office in carrying out its duties in recent times.

He noted that the past months had seen a heavy workload spanning a broad range of issues, requiring coordination across multiple sectors, levels and political institutions.

Despite these demands, the Office has taken a proactive and focused approach, successfully organising the sixth session of the Council for National Defence and Security for the 2021–2026 tenure.

The actively supported activities commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification, along with other key duties carried out with urgency, responsibility and timeliness, in line with the country’s political agenda.

He went on to praise the Office’s coordination and advisory role in both domestic and foreign affairs, noting its contribution to translating major Party and State policies into concrete action, fostering national unity, safeguarding national interests, and enhancing Vietnam’s international reputation through strengthened ties with traditional friends and international partners.

President Cuong also stressed the need for close cooperation with relevant ministries and localities in assisting him with the implementation of Politburo Decision No. 284-QD/TW, which assigns members of the Politburo and Party Central Committee Secretaries to direct the execution of the resolution of the 13th Party Central Committee’s 11th plenum. He urged that work on this must meet quality standards, adhere to timelines, and be promptly reported to the Politburo.

Along with finalising preparations for the 9th congress of the Presidential Office's Party Organisation, the office must carefully prepare documentation and content to support the Vice President in her role as head of the Organising Committee for the 11th National Patriotic Emulation Congress.

⛦ He encouraged the office to proactively advise national leaders on key issues across internal affairs, external relations, national defence, security, Party building and socio-economic development, while also addressing public welfare and reinforcing national solidarity in the ongoing cause of national construction and defence./.
