Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung received New Zealand’s Minister for Tertiary Education, Skills and Employment Steven Joyce on August 5.

At the meeting, PM Dung confirmed Vietnam treasures the ties with New Zealand and is willing to promote cooperation with New Zealand in all fields to deepen their Comprehensive Partnership and prepare for a long-term and sustainable Strategic Partnership in the future.

The PM said Vietnam is eagerly awaiting New Zealand PM John Key’s visit to discuss new forms of cooperation to tap potential in economics, trade, investment, tourism, agriculture and science-technology.

Minister Steven Joyce informed PM Dung of results achieved during his talks with Vietnam’s Minister of Education and Training Pham Vu Luan.

He said the two ministers agreed to prepare a strategic cooperation framework on education which is scheduled to be signed during PM John Ke♔y’s visit, one of the main events to mark the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.-VNA
