Dak Lak (VNA) – Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh visited and had working sessions with the Department of Public Security and the Military Command of the Central Highlands province of Dak Lak on August 18.

Talking to the Dak Lak Department of Public Security, the Government leader extended congratulations to local police on the 79th anniversary of the traditional day of the People’s Public Security (August 19, 1945 - 2024).

He lauded their endeavours to surmount every difficulty and closely coordinate with the people’s army to fulfill all assigned tasks and obtained many important results, contributing to political stability, social order and safety, and socio-economic development in the province.

He asked the public security force to continue actively grasping, assessing, and forecasting the local situation to give advice to the provincial Party Committee and People’s Committee, unceasingly improve their capacity to properly carry out security and order management, promote training to stay ready to respond to all circumstances, and step up the building of a lean and strong public security force that is truly clean, regular, elite, and modern.

In addition, due attention needs to be paid to the Party building, mass mobilisation, the fight against crimes along with plots and sabotage activities of hostile and reactionary forces, the safeguarding of security and order, and the early detection, prevention, and settlement of risks at the grassroots level to prevent any “hot spot” in terms of security and order.

PM Chinh also requested local police to actively join hands in the implementation of the Politburo’s Resolution No. 23-NQ/TW, dated October 6, 2022, on orientations for socio-economic development and defence - security safeguarding in the Central Highlands by 2030, with a vision to 2045; the national target programmes; as well as administrative reform and information technology application to eradicate bureaucracy, corruption, and negative phenomena.

The force needs to cooperate effectively with others to exert all-out efforts to complete all tasks, dedicate to the Fatherland, and serve the people, he added.

Visiting the Military Command of Dak Lak, PM Chinh highly valued its achievements in grasping the situation, advising the provincial Party Committee and People’s Committee about military and defence affairs, performing state management and institutional building tasks, protecting the borderline, implementing defence diplomacy, and building a border of peace, friendship, cooperation, and development.

He also highlighted the command’s performance in building a clean and strong Party organisation, working with other forces, and contributing to local and regional socio-economic development.

The Military Command of Dak Lak should keep seriously adhering to the principle that the Party exercises absolute, direct, and comprehensive leadership over all aspects of the people’s army. It must maintain the close-knit bonds with the people; have a good grasp of the situation to give advice to the local Party Committee and administration; avoid passivity in the face of possible circumstances; maintain the highest-level combat readiness; firmly protect the country’s independence, sovereignty, territorial integrity and interests; and stay ready to fulfil any task assigned by the Party and State, he requested.

He asked the command to continue fruitfully implementing the Party’s resolutions on the Party and army building; boost studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, moral example, and style; help with the combat against corruption, negative phenomena, and wastefulness; and make good preparations for all-level Party congresses on the threshold of the Army Party Congress and the 14th National Party Congress.

꧃ Besides, the PM also told the Dak Lak Military Command to effectively and closely coordinate with other forces, engage in the building of the grassroots political system and emulation movements, take part in socio-economic development, and help with the implementation of the Politburo’s Resolution No. 23-NQ/TW./.
