Quang Ninh (VNA) – The northeastern province of Quang Ninh’s 23th and last meeting session of the provincial People’s Council, on April 8, passed the resolution of establishing a Department of Tourism.
The new department, which is separate from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, will have five specialised units and an administrative unit.
Quang Ninh is one of the provinces with a great potential of tourism. Besides the UNESCO-recognised world heritage of Ha Long Bay, the province has four major national historic sites, over 500 national or provincial relic sites as well as tourist cities like Ha Long and Mong Cai.
