The qualifying round of the ACM International Collegiate ProgrammingContest (ACM/ICPC) began in the central city of Da Nang on November27.
Nearly 350 Vietnamese students and 15 foreignteams from Japan, China, the Republic of Kore , Thailand, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Indonesia entered the competition.
The 17 most outstanding contestants will representAsia to compete at the final round of ACM/ICPC 2014 in Ekaterinburg ,Russia.
The same day, the 22nd VietnamInformatics Olympic Contest for Students ( OLP ’13) also commenced inthe city, attracting 337 students from more than 70 universities andcolleges nationwide.
The two competitions will wrap up on November 29.
