Da Nang (VNA) – Russian President VladimirPutin highlighted the practicality of topics discussed at the 25th APECEconomic Leaders’ Meeting, at a press briefing after the event concluded incentral Da Nang city on November 11.

The digital economy, brought up for discussion by Vietnamthis year’s meeting, is a very practical and important issue, Putin toldreporters.

The Russian President said the meeting also addressedother pressing issues such as counter-terrorism, energy market forecasting,trade liberalisation and APEC’s development prospects.

However, he said some issues cannot be addressed andresolved individually, for example those related to micro-, small-, medium-sizedenterprises (MSMEs). They should be considered together with the chainproduction of the modern economy as well as with the digital economy, he noted.

Putin also highly appreciated the meeting’s outcomes,saying Vietnam, as the host, has done everything to make it go smoothly. The meetingis very important to enhancing regional cooperation, he added. –VNA
