Russian researcher highly values contributions by Vietnamese Party leaders

In the 21st century, leaders of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) not only state that they are guided by Marxist-Leninist ideology but also consistently realise tasks, whether large or small, to build a civilised and prosperous Vietnamese society based on the approaches and principles established by President Ho Chi Minh, said Pyotr Tsvetov, Russian researcher on Vietnamese studies, who has spent many years working in Vietnam.

Moscow (VNA) - In the 21st century, leaders of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) not only state that they are guided by Marxist-Leninist ideology but also consistently realise tasks, whether large or small, to build a civilised and prosperous Vietnamese society based on the approaches and principles established by President Ho Chi Minh, said Pyotr Tsvetov, Russian researcher on Vietnamese studies, who has spent many years working in Vietnam.

In a recent interview granted to the Vietnam News Agency on the occasion of the 79th National Day of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - 2024), the former reporter for the newspaper “Pravda” (Truth) of the Russian Federation Communist Party from 1991-1993 gave his evaluation on contributions by leaders of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV), highlighting achievements of the Doi Moi (renewal) process initiated by the CPV in 1986.

He talked about his latest article published on the newspaper, titled “Hanoi's bamboo diplomacy policy", which asserts the value of the policy in helping Vietnam build extensive and reputable international relations, as well as gaining prestige and trust at the international arena.

More than a month ago, the researcher gave assessments of late Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, affirmed that the Vietnamese Party chief was a prestigious leader and a sharp theorist who made great contributions to the theory of building socialism in Vietnam.

Tsvetov, who is also First Vice President of the Russia-Vietnam Friendship Association and lecturer at the Department of International Relations of the Diplomatic Academy under the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affair, shared about interesting books kept in his suburban house, including works by two Vietnamese veteran revolutionary figures who participated in the international communist movement, on fundamental formation of Ho Chi Minh's thought; values, spirit, and traditions of the Vietnamese People; and the Russian October Revolution and Vietnam.

Among his special books, Tsvetov has also preserved a collection of writings and speeches by the late Party General Secretary Le Duan.

💞 His collection of books on Vietnam also includes volumes of speeches and documents from the 3th, 4th, 5th, and 6th National Congresses of the CPV./.
