The Saigon Railway Station on September 9 put into operation a wi-fi system to provide free internet connection to customers.
Nguyen Van Thanh, head of the station, said the system allows 800simultaneous access points with a four Mbps broadband connection.
The installation is the first phase of a project on free wi-fi hotspots at railway stations.
As part of the first phase, with a total cost of more than 1 billionVND (47,600 USD), the project's investor, the New Generation Joint StockCompany, will install the wi-fi systems at Nha Trang, Dieu Tri and DaNang railway stations next month.-VNA
