Sao Khue awards given to 47 IT developers

Forty-seven outstanding individuals and organisations from the Information and Technology (IT) sector were presented with Sao Khue Awards on the evening of April 21 in Hanoi.
Forty-seven outstanding individuals andorganisations from the Information and Technology (IT) sector werepresented with Sao Khue Awards on the evening of April 21 in Hanoi.

Initiated by the Vietnam Software Association (VINASA) in 2003, the SaoKhue Awards are designed to honour organisations and individuals thatmake a great contribution to the development of the IT and softwareindustries in Vietnam .

This year, the only individual to win an award was Vu Duc Dam, Chairmanof Quang Ninh’s provincial Party Committee and also the Secretary of theprovincial party committee.

Over the past few years, no matter in what position, Dam hasparticipated in policy making and helped greatly to develop Vietnam’s ITand software industries.

The three awards for software and IT applications went to the VietnamIndustrial and Commercial Bank (VietinBank), the Lien Viet Bank and theInformation Centre from the National Administration of Exercise andSports.

The Saigon Securities Inc. was honoured as best enterprise at usinglegal software.

Starting this year, the VINASA will put forward software products thathave been nominated for a Sao Khue award to the Asia -PacificInformation and Communications Technology Awards (APICTA)./.

The PM revealed Vietnam’s plan to develop nuclear power in the near future, and called on the Swedish side to assist Vietnam in developing and refining legal and policy frameworks for the use of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes; training and developing human resources; ensuring nuclear safety; and conducting training and drills to improve incident management capabilities.
