Hanoi (VNA) – The second Global Young Vietnamese IntellectualsForum opened in Hanoi on November 27, looking to optimise the power of theyoung intellectuals to realise the sustainable development goals.
The event, organised by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union CentralCommittee, drew the participation of 236 young Vietnamese intellectualsstudying and working in 23 countries and territories worldwide.
Addressing the forum, Politburo member and head of the Party CentralCommittee’s Mass Mobilisation Commission Truong Thi Mai said that the previousforum helped connect domestic and foreign intellectuals, who have burningdesire to make contributions to the national development cause.
Highlighting the country’s opportunities and challenges in the new context, Maispoke highly of the contents that will be discussed at this year forum,including growth model and quality, labour productivity, social equality, as wellas measures for the country to maintain fast and sustainable economic growthand make the best use of the golden population structure to develophigh-quality human resources, among others.
She expressed her hope that more initiatives will be collected at the event,helping the Government complete policies and mechanisms to facilitate youngintellectuals’ contributions to the country.
Meanwhile, First Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union CentralCommittee Le Quoc Phong laid stress on the important role of the youngacademics in the country’s sustainable development.
He added that they should receive the best conditions so as to make furthercontributions to the nation./.
Two hundred young Vietnamese intellectuals have gathered in the central city of Da Nang to pool their ideas to help the country capitalise on opportunities brought about by the 4th industrial revolution (4IR) for a better workforce, environment and business climate.
The second Global Young Vietnamese Intellectual Forum will take place in Hanoi from November 26-28, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCM CYU) announced on November 21.
PM Pham Minh Chinh highlighted how Vietnam's revolutionary press has continuously evolved and strengthened over the past century, affirming its role as a sharp and vital political, cultural, and ideological weapon serving the Fatherland and the people in the glorious revolutionary cause of the Party.
Vietnamese Consul General in Fukuoka Vu Chi Mai highlighted the growing demand for Vietnamese workers in Kyushu, especially in Fukuoka, Oita, and Saga prefectures. Currently, the region employs about 35,000 Vietnamese manual workers and over 5,000 IT engineers.
In Vietnam’s case, she said, President Ho Chi Minh demonstrated his strategic vision by founding the revolutionary press a century ago. The late leader understood the press's role not only as a means to reflect the country’s realities but also as a powerful tool to strengthen national unity and inspire the resistance wars and national construction process.

Today, the press for foreign service has evolved into a distinct, irreplaceable force, bridging Vietnam with the world and portraying a nation that is stable, peace-loving, and fully integrated into the international community.
At a review conference held on June 21, Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Van Sinh praised the province’s scientific, coordinated, and flexible approach. He noted that the early completion reflects the strong commitment of local authorities, the business community, philanthropists, and residents in improving housing conditions for disadvantaged groups.
The VNA delegation, led by General Director Vu Viet Trang, actively participated in the event, engaging in both professional and diplomatic activities.
In the context where AI dominates and produces vast volumes of content, the only sustainable path forward for journalism is to focus on high-quality content and core values. Journalism must redefine its mission - not to report the fastest, but to provide the most profound and trustworthy value.
