Thefestival has been held annually since 1981 so people from all walks oflife can show their love and respect for President Ho Chi Minh.
The two-day event includes numerous activities, including offeringincense to commemorate Uncle Ho and a traditional music festival.
Earlier, a ceremony to review Nghe An province’s recentachievements also took place. The rate of recorded poor households inthe province has dropped to 16 percent and the annual average income nowexceeds 700 USD.
Developments can also be seen invocational training, job creation, healthcare services and povertyreduction, so the standard of living for many people has greatlyimproved.
Nam Dan district, in particular, waschosen as one of the five districts in the country to implement thenational targets programme to create new, more modern rural lifestyles.-VNA
