Seventh National Press Awards on Party Building presented
The 7th National Press Awards on Party Building, the Bua Liem Vang (Golden Hammer and Sickle) Awards 2022, were presented at a ceremony held in Hanoi on February 3.

Hanoi (VNA) – The 7th National PressAwards on Party Building, the Bua Liem Vang (Golden Hammerand Sickle) Awards 2022, were presented at a ceremony held in Hanoi on February3.
The event was organised by the Party Central Committee’sOrganisation Commission, the Nhan dan (People) newspaper, the Communist Review,the Vietnam Television, and the Vietnam Journalists’ Association.
Addressing the event, Chairman of the National Assembly VuongDinh Hue attributed Vietnam’s achievements in 2022 partly to importantcontributions by the press, noting that the diverse realities in the countryand significant attainments in Party building and rectification have becomea great source of inspiration for journalists to create high-quality works onthe Party building.

He highly valued the journalists and press agencies whichsubmitted 2,031 entries to the competition, of which the best 72 were honoured,including six granted Prize A, 12 with Prize B, 18 with Prize C, 30 with theconsolation prize, and eight with the specialised prize.
The top legislator described the entries and the award-winningones as results of journalists’ sense of responsibility, dedication to theirjob, and patriotism.
He held that the influence of the Party building-themed pressworks reflects the strong support from all-level Party committees andauthorities, the entire political system, as well as all people for therevolutionary press of Vietnam.

On behalf of the Party and State leaders, Hue calledon people of all social strata to actively engage in the Party and politicalsystem building and rectification through concrete and practical actions.
He also asked press agencies to push forward with theirperformance in this regard, including protecting the Party’s ideologicalfoundation, adamantly refuting wrongful and hostile viewpoints, and combatingcorruption, negative phenomena and wastefulness, for the sake of a clean andcomprehensively strong Party.
At the event, 15 collectives with majorcontributions to the organisation of the BuaLiem Vang Awards 2022 also received commendation./.
The Party Committee of Hanoi and the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party (LPRP) Central Committee’s Organising Commission shared experience on Party building, during a conference in the city on November 9.
The Party Central Committee’s Organisation Commission held a national teleconference on December 29 to review its work in 2022 and put forward tasks for 2023.
The Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) was born in February 1930 with the mission of leading the country. Under the leadership of the CPV, Vietnam has gained a number of glorious revolutionary victories.
On February 3, 1930, nearly 20 years after leaving the country to seek ways for national salvation, Nguyen Ai Quoc (later known as President Ho Chi Minh) chaired a conference to merge three communist organisations in Vietnam into the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV), marking an important milestone in the country’s history of national construction and defence.
As people around Vietnam joyfully welcome a new spring, they also remember one particular spring 93 years ago, when the Communist Party of Vietnam was founded. Since that spring of 1930, the Party has led the people to a host of achievements, bringing the country many springs full of happiness and aspirations ever since.
The trip will be made at the invitations of Chinese Premier Li Qiang and WEF President and CEO Børge Brende, according to an announcement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Long spoke highly of the dynamic, positive, and comprehensive development of Vietnam – Russia relations in recent years. The Party chief underscored the need for the press to innovate relentlessly, evolve to keep pace with the country's development, transform into a truly professional, humanistic, and modern sector that serves the cause of the Party, the State, and the people on the path to national construction and development.
The UN Secretary-General praised Vietnam’s remarkable achievements in socio-economic development and international integration in recent years, noting that the country has emerged as a model in implementing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), promoting international peace and security, and engaging in key UN processes.
Nghia affirmed that this is a milestone of special significance, affirming and honouring the the Vietnamese revolutionary press’s glorious tradition of 100 years of serving the revolutionary cause of the Party, serving the Fatherland, and serving the people.
The Party and State of Vietnam always attach great importance to and give top priority to the development of Vietnam–China relations. Vietnam is ready to work with the Chinese Party and State to further deepen the Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership and promote the building of the Vietnam-China community with a shared future that carries strategic significance.
Under the leadership of President Ho Chi Minh and the CPV, President Cuong said, the press has been a steadfast force on the ideological and cultural front, rallying the masses to pursue national aspirations.
NA Chairman Tran Thanh Man stressed the need to accelerate the application of artificial intelligence and smart teaching equipment, innovate teaching and assessment methods, and further improve the quality of formal education.
He also pledged that the NA will promote its ongoing supervision, making sure that every promise must lead to results, and every commitment must bring about real changes.
Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien welcomed the proposals put forward by the US side and reiterated Vietnam’s request for consideration of key areas of interest, including reciprocal tariff policies and access for Vietnamese key export products to the US market.
Deputy PM Le Thanh Long proposed countries promote shared values, including building trust, sincerity, and solidarity among nations and peoples; fostering cooperation spirit and responsible behaviour as well as upholding international law and the UN Charter; and placing people at the centre and as the goal, the key player, and the driving force of all policies.
The show, together with a grand parade to be held silmutaneously at Ba Dinh Square in Hanoi, will celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution, the National Day, and the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army (VPA).
