Ba Ria – Vung Tau (VNA)🎐 - Borderguards in the southern province of Ba Ria – Vung Tau on July 3 discovered twoships carrying 25 Vietnamese fishermen from Malaysia.
🧔 Specifically, they detected ships BV 98766TS and BV 95824 TS about20 nautical miles southwest of Nghinh Phong cape in Vung Tau city at4am.
Later, they ordered ships to anchor at an inland waterway port in SaoMai – Ben Dinh area in the city and contacted the provincial Centre for Disease Control to spray disinfectant over the ships and send the fishermen toquarantine facilities in line with regulations.
The southern province of Ba Ria – Vung Tau is protecting seafood resources and developing aquaculture sustainably, with local authorities preventing destructive fishing activities and encouraging farmers to apply advanced techniques.
The total volume of goods passing through seaports in the southern port province of Ba Ria – Vung Tau reached nearly 48.28 million tonnes in the first five months of this year, up 9 percent year-on-year, according to the Vung Tau Port Authority.
Despite difficulties posed by COVID-19, the industrial production value, excluding oil and gas, of the southern province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau was estimated to increase 8.44 percent in the first half of this year compared to the 6.47 percent growth in the same period last year.
According to the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society (VRC), this year’s campaign provided long-term aid for 3,785 individuals and organisations.
