Hanoi (VNA)༺ – The Prime Minister has recently agreed to prolong the implementation of policy on education supports for students of very small ethnic minority groups regulated in the Decision No 2123/QD-TTg from January 1 until it is replaced by other regulations.

The funds for the policy will be sourced from the localities’ annual budget estimates on education and training. The Ministry of Education and Training was asked to preside over and collaborate with the Committee for Ethnic Minority Affairs and relevant ministries to build schemes on education supports for students of ethnic minority groups with a population of less than 10,000 in accordance with Decree No 05/2011/ND-CP issued on January 14, 2011. The scheme should be submitted to the Prime Minister before October 1./.
