Teams ready for Robocon Vietnam showdown

The 32 best teams from around Vietnam will attend the final round of the 2014 Robocon Vietnam competition in the central coastal province of Khanh Hoa from May 6-11.
The 32 best teams from aroundVietnam will attend the final round of the 2014 Robocon Vietnamcompetition in the central coastal province of Khanh Hoa from May 6-11.

Vietnam Television (VTV) and Toyota Motors Vietnam, the main sponsorsfor the contest, announced the information at a press conference on May5.

The teams were picked from 161 representative teams fromuniversities and colleges nationwide. The champion team will representVietnam at the Asia-Pacific Robot Contest (ABU Robocon) slated forAugust in India.

The Robocon Techshow 2014 exhibition will beheld on the occasion, aiming at encouraging students to apply theirknowledge from Robocon competitions in the manufacture of high-tech anduseful products for life.

At the 2013 Robocon Vietnam, teams from Lac Hong University in the southern province of Dong Nai won all three top prizes.

TheAsia-Pacific Robot Contest (ABU Robocon) is an Asian Oceanian Collegerobot competition founded in 2002 by the Asia-Pacific BroadcastingUnion.

To date, Vietnamese teams have won the championship three times; in 2002, 2004 and 2006.-VNA

PM calls for cooperation with 🌱Sꦯweden in nuclear energy technology
