TelAviv (VNA) – The Tel Aviv administration is willing to cooperatewith Vietnamese localities and share experience in smart city development, tourism,investment and business, aiming to deepening the relations between Israel andVietnam, Tel Aviv Mayor Ron Huldai told Vietnamese Ambassador to Israel Do MinhHung.

Huldaimade the statement at a working session with the Vietnamese diplomat on August8, during which the two sides shares experience in the fields of innovation,start-up and smart city development.

He said he visited Vietnam five years ago, and was impressed by the country’slandscape and friendly people.

Hecongratulated Vietnam on its strong socio-economic development in recent times,affirming that Tel Aviv will share its experience in smart city developmentwith Vietnam.

Forhis part, Ambassador Hung suggested the two countries promote and tighten cooperationin the coming time.

He affirmed that the Vietnamese embassy in Israel stands ready to serve as abridge connecting investment and cooperation between Tel Aviv and Vietnamese localities.

Tel Aviv is known as a startup hub with 1,500 startups. Israel leads the worldwith more than 5,000 startups. Tel Aviv is also an international economy,finance and tourism centre, ranking the second in the Middle East, after Dubaiof the United Arab Emirates (UAE).-VNA
