Bangkok (NNT/VNA) – Thailand’s provinces have organised activitiesto mark the 120th anniversary of the birth of the late Her Royal HighnessPrincess Srinagarindra (October 21).

Prime Minister Gen. Prayut Chan-o-cha on October 21 presided over an event tocommemorate the Princess at the Princess Mother Memorial Park in Khlong Sandistrict, Bangkok.

Gen. Prayut, together with cabinet ministers and their spouses, attended theceremony to mark the 120th anniversary of the birth of the late Her RoyalHighness Princess Srinagarindra. The ceremony was attended by the President ofthe National Assembly, the President of the Supreme Court, heads of constitutionalorganisations and their spouses.

During the ceremony, the Prime Minister and his wife laid a wreath before thestatue of Princess Srinagarindra. Deputy Prime Minister Prof. Dr. WissanuKrea-ngam then planted an Indian cork tree, to mark the National Annual TreeCare Day, which was initiated from the royal wish of Princess Srinagarindra.

Commemorative activities are taking place, from October 21 to November 1 thisyear, at an exhibition organised by the Thanyarak Foundation under thePatronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Srinagarindra. The event features apresentation of Princess Srinagarindra’s life. Visitors are invited to donatebooks at the event. The books will be given to Border Patrol Police schools,schools in remote areas and libraries nationwide./.
