Bangkok (VNA/ NNT)𒁏 –The Thai government has expressed its condolences towards attacks in the Belgian capital of Brussels that took place on March 22 while Thai Airways has adjusted its flights to accommodate with Brussels Airport being shut down for the time being.

Prime Minister Gen Prayuth Chan-ocha has relayed his condolences to Belgian Prime Minister Charles Michel following bombings that took place at Brussels International Airport and Maalbeek Metro Station, which resulted in numerous deaths and injuries.
In a letter to his Belgian counterpart, Gen Prayuth wrote that he was saddened by the news of the bombings and that he, the Thai government and the people of Thailand will stand in solidarity with Belgium. He also denounced violence against innocent people in all forms.
Meanwhile, Thai Airways also expressed its condolences while making known that a flight from Bangkok to Brussels that departed with 326 passengers and 20 crew ahead of the incident was able to land safely on schedule. The airline has however delayed further flights to the city until the airport is back to normal operation.-VNA
