Bangkok (VNA) – The National Legislative Assembly (NLA) of Thailand has agreedto transfer the control of royal agencies to King Maha Vajiralongkorn. Thoseagencies have been managed by the government until now. Thedecision was approved in a confidential session on April 20, members of the NLAsaid on April 21. It is another step in giving greater say to the king, whoascended the throne late 2016, an NLA member, who declined to be named, said. Royalagencies to be managed by the king include the Royal Aide de Camp Department,the Office of His Majesty's Principal Private Secretary, the Bureau of theRoyal Household, the Royal Guard Command and the Royal Court Security Police. However,NLA President Pornpetch Wichitcholchai and the government have yet to make any comment.
