Thailand affirms to continue roadmap to democracy

Bangkok (VNA)𓆉 – Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand Wissanu Krea-ngam on October 25 affirmed that the country will continue its roadmap to return to democracy and the general election will be held next year. 

The Deputy PM also said that the promulgation of new acts under the new Constitution will follow procedures approved in the public referendum in August.

The new acts will be presented to the government after being ratified by the National Legislative Assembly (NLA) of Thailand. The government will have 20 days to consider the acts before submitting them for the Royal approval.

🐬 The NLA is expected to be back for meetings after 15 days of mourning for late King Bhumibol Abdulyadej.-VNA
