Thailand: Investor Confidence Index for January 2018 rises

The Federation of Thai Capital Market Organisations (FETCO) has announced that the Investor Confidence Index (ICI) for January 2018 has increased as the Thai economy is starting recover.

Bangkok (NNT/VNA) - The Federation of Thai Capital MarketOrganisations (FETCO) has announced that the Investor Confidence Index(ICI) for January 2018 has increased as the Thai economy is startingrecover.

FETCORepresentative Santi Kiranand said the ICI for January next yearincreased from 162.63 to 165.77, thanks to positive signs in the exportand tourism sectors.

Recreational,tourism, energy and infrastructure sectors are attractive to investorswhereas print media, fashion and mining industries are among the leastattractive.

Bankof Ayudhya Executive Vice President, Somprawin Manprasert, said theThai economy is gradually recovering due higher domestic consumption andtourism growth.
