The minister said measures are being put in place to mitigatethe impact of rising fuel prices. He added there is no need for truck andpublic bus operators to raise their fares if they switch to B20 biodiesel.

Meanwhile, the price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) hasbegun to decline after rising from 353 to 393 THB per 15 kg-tank as LPG demandin Europe is decreasing.

Regarding public concerns over the possibility of risingelectricity prices, Siri Jirapongphan said that electricity bills won't changethis year as Thailand relies mostly on natural gas for the production ofelectricity.

He added that the Ministry of Energy will do its best tolessen the impact of rising fuel prices on electricity bills to keep the costof living affordable. -VNA
