Bangkok (NNT/VNA) - Thailand will host the 7th ASIANMinisterial Energy Roundtable next month, featuring discussions between energyproducers and consumers in Asia on present and future demand. 

Thai Minister of Energy Gen AnantapornKantchanarat has announced that the meeting will be held on November 1-3.So far, 17 member countries have agreed to attend the event, including leadersfrom international organisations as well as Thai Prime Minister Gen PrayutChan-o-cha. 

The meeting will discuss factors affecting theAsian oil industry, as well as the shutting down of the pipeline in Turkey, newlaws on the use of high quality oil in international maritime travel, and theincreased trade in LNG gas. Other issues include incorporating technology inproducing alternative energy such as solar power and electric cars.

In addition, the meeting will showcase atraditional Thai musical performance to welcome the international guests andpromote Thai culture.-NNT/VNA
