RTP deputy spokesman Pol. Maj. Gen. Siriwat emphas☂ised the importance of these measures for a safe holiday. He called on people to avoid excessive drinking, which could lead to traffic accidents or violent behaviour. Citi༺zens were also reminded not to release lanterns near airports or prohibited zones to prevent accidents or fires.

The Thai police warned against scams, including individuals impersonating officials to solicit money transfers, unusually low-priced goods, malicious links, and online gambling invitations. Citizens were also reminded to lock their homes and vehicles and safeguard valuables while traveling during the holiday season. Beyond the “5 Don’ts”, the public were encouraged to report crimes or seek assistance via the 191 hotline or by visiting local police stations./.
