Thailand uses social media to promote tourism

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is engaging in an online and social media campaign to promote the country as a luxury destination for worldwide travellers and attract 28 million international visitors next year.
The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is engaging in an online andsocial media campaign to promote the country as a luxury destination forworldwide travellers and attract 28 million international visitors nextyear.

The target of the campaign is to turn Thailand into apremium brand and to upgrade the place from a value-for-moneydestination into a luxury destination for worldwide travellers andinternet users in year 2014.

TAT has created a number of onlinecampaigns, such as the "Happiness You Can Share", "Find Your Fabulous"and "Experience Sharing" projects, in order to provide real experiencesfor travellers and allow them to explore exciting discoveries.

Itnow has 3.4 million users via the Amazing Thailand website, 420,000'Likes' via the Amazing Thailand Facebook fan page, up to 89,000 Twitterfollowers for @go2Thailand, 50,000 followers at Google+ and 7,000Instagram followers for @Tourism Thailand.-VNA
