Northern Thanh Hoa province has culled 1,023 poultry as part ofresponsive measures to a recent avian flu outbreak at the locality.
Vaccinations were administered to 23,000 out of300,000 poultry at Hai Linh commune, where the A/H5N6 outbreak was firstdetected.
Three quarantine posts have been setup on main roads lead to Hai Linh with inspections around the clock in abid to prevent illegal poultry transportation in and out of thevulnerable location.
Meanwhile, 300 litres of disinfectant and 8 specialists have been sent to the commune for the combat against the virus.-VNA
