Those entering Vietnam charged for concentrated quarantine from Sept 1

Hanoi (VNA) – Those entering Vietnam from September 1 have to paycosts of their quarantine at concentrated facilities, as Prime Minister NguyenXuan Phuc recently agreed with the Finance Ministry’s proposal related to thisissue.

Accordingly, the quarantine stay atmilitary bases or other facilities designated by authorised State agencies willcost 120,000 VND (5.2 USD) per day, including 80,000 VND for food and 40,000VND for daily necessities.

Those who want to stay in hotels andresorts will pay the fees decided by the lodging facilities.

All of them have to take tests for thecoronavirus and pay testing fees themselves, the PM ordered.

Vietnamese COVID-19 patients will continueto receive free check-ups and treatment. For foreigners, the PM has assignedthe Ministry of Health to make a report to the Government that will besubmitted to the National Assembly’s Standing Committee for consideration.

Bills for other diseases during thequarantine period will be borne by health insurance. Those without healthinsurance will cover the bills themselves.

The rules are applied for those who havecome to Vietnam and undergone concentrated quarantine as from September 1.

On September 16, Deputy Prime Minister PhamBinh Minh approved a proposal on resuming regular international passengerflights between Vietnam and some partners submitted by the Transport Ministry.

Accordingly, Vietnam will resume four airroutes to Guangzhou (China), Taiwan (China), Seoul (the Republic of Korea), andTokyo (Japan) from September 15, and to Phnom Penh (Cambodia) and Vientiane(Laos) from September 22.

The maximum number of flights will notexceed two per week on each route and may be further increased depending on thesituation./.
