Singapore (VNA) – NationalAssembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan expressed her hope for continuedcontributions from the Vietnamese Embassy and Vietnamese community in Singaporeto the two countries’ partnership.

Visiting the embassy on November 26 afterarriving in Singapore for an official visit, Ngan said her visit aims to fosterthe bilateral strategic partnership and ties between the two legislativebodies, towards celebrating the 45th anniversary of diplomatic tiesin 2018, and to open new cooperation prospects.

Praising the contributions made by theembassy staff and overseas Vietnamese in Singapore, the top legislator hopedthat they will continue to prepare for the upcoming celebrations.

She briefed them on the outcomes of theParty Central Committee’s sixth session in October and the freshly-concludedfourth session of the 14th National Assembly, including the approvalof the Law on amendments and supplements to some articles of the Law onOverseas Representative Missions of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

Representatives of the overseas Vietnamesecommunity in Singapore showed their hope that the State will maintainadministrative procedure reforms in business and investment, continuesupporting small- and medium-sized enterprises and investing more in scientificand education studies.-VNA
