Top legislator praises enterprise for social contributions

Hanoi (VNA) – National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan laudedthe Van Phu – Invest Investment Joint Stock Company for its contributions tothe community while meeting with the company’s leaders on February 19.
At the meeting, NguyenHuy Hoang, head of the company’s trade union, presented 7 billion VND (301,000USD) to build a primary school in Dong Son commune, Hoanh Do district, thenorthern province of Quang Ninh, 6 billion VND to build a social work centrewhich cares orphans and children affected by Agent Orange/dioxin in the MekongDelta city of Can Tho, and 10 billion VND to the Fund for Poor Patients in theMekong Delta province of Ben Tre.
Earlier, the companyalso carried out a lot of activities to support the construction of health carecentres and the purchase of medical equipment to serve poor patients infar-flung areas, as well as social welfare funds in different localities.
Speaking highly of thecompany’s contributions, the top legislator wished the company in particularand the business community in general gain greater achievements in productionand business and continue sharing their successes with the society.
She requested the localities and units whichreceive the assistance to use it effectively and correctly to helpdisadvantaged people.-VNA
