Hanoi (VNA) – Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc presented a proposal onrelieving Minister of Transport Truong Quang Nghia and Government InspectorGeneral Phan Van Sau of their duties for the 2016-2021 tenure, at the NationalAssembly’s sitting on October 24 afternoon.

Earlier,NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan said the Political Bureau has assigned TruongQuang Nghia, member of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committeeand Minister of Transport, to join Da Nang city’s Party Committee and themunicipal Party Committee’s Standing Board, and to hold the post of Secretaryof the municipal Party Committee for the 2015-2020 tenure.

ThePolitical Bureau also agreed to designate Phan Van Sau, member of the CPVCentral Committee and Government Inspector General, as a member of Soc Trangprovince’s Party Committee and the provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board,and to hold the post of Secretary of the provincial Party Committee for the 2015-2020term.

Relevantagencies have promptly completed personnel nomination procedures to besubmitted to the NA for consideration and approval, she said, asking deputiesto mull over the proposal and attached documents.

Theoutcomes of the discussions are expected to be presented on October 25 by TranVan Tuy, member of the NA’s Standing Committee and head of the NA’s Committeefor Deputy Affairs.

Thelegislature will work on procedures to approve the proposal by casting secreteballots.

Also in the October 24 sitting, legislators looked into the amended draft Lawon Forest Protection.
