HCM City(VNA) – Travel firms in Ho Chi Minh City has offered various promotionprogrammes for the upcoming holiday lasting from April 29 to May 3.

On the occasion of the Hung Kings Commemoration Day (April 29), National Reunification Day (April 30) and May Day (May 1), Saigontourist is offering diverse tours with the unique combination oftravel routes, bringing customers chances to explore landscapes and cultureof many localities and countries, along with combos of air tickets and hotels atgood prices.

Meanwhile, Vietravel said that until May 31, the firm’s customers will receive discount worth 300,000 VND (12.77 USD) each for groups of 4-6 tourists, 500,000 VND each for groups of 7-9 and 700,000 VND for groups of from 10 tourists for domestic tours.

The highest discount for each travellers registering outbound tours is 1.5 million VND (63.84 USD).

According to localtravel firms, this year, outbound tours to Thailand, Singapore, Japan, the Republicof Korea, Dubai and Maldives also attract a large number of tourists.

Nguyen Thi Anh Hoa,Director of the HCM City Department of Tourism, said that during the city’sTourism Festival in early April, participants reported total revenue of 105billion VND, bringing high hope for the city to reach a peak number of touristsin this summer.

In the first quarter of this year, HCM City welcomed7.5 million domestic visitors and 1.04 million foreign tourists, earning over36.11 trillion VND (1.54 billion USD), a surge of 77.2% year on year./.
