Lam Dong (VNA) – APolish tourist and a Vietnamese tour guide lost their lives while ziplining HangCop waterfall in Xuan Tho commune, Da Lat city in the Central Highlands provinceof Lam Dong.
Cwiakala Rafal, 33, and NguyenQuoc Khanh, 24, from Lam Ha district of Lam Dong, fell victim to the zipliningadventure crossing the waterfall on the morning of February 23, reported theprovincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism on February 23.
They were part of a group of eight tourists and two tour guides in an adventuretour of Hang Cop (Tiger’s Cave) waterfall, which is about 50m in length withtough and dangerous terrain, provided by Giac Mo Vang company in Da Lat city.
Right after learning theinformation, the provincial rescue force reached the site to conduct searchactivities for the victims who were found in the afternoon the same day,according to the department.
A representative of thedepartment revealed that the tour provider failed to show their licence toorganise adventure tours or permit to serve foreign tourists. The two tourguides, including Tuan, also have no licences.
Authorities are working toidentify the cause of the accident.

As many as 360 domestic and foreign tourists have registered for a tour to explore Son Doong, the largest natural cave in the world, in the central province of Quang Binh in 2017.
A large number of tourists flocked to Da Nang and Da Lat cities during the Tet (traditional Lunar New Year) holidays, according to local tourism agencies.
