Two ministers questioned at NA Standing Committee’s 25th session

The Minister of Justice and the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development will field questions raised at the 25th session of the National Assembly (NA) Standing Committee on August 15.

Hanoi (VNA) – The Minister of Justice andthe Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development will field questions raisedat the 25th session of the National Assembly (NA) Standing Committeeon August 15.
 
The one-day question & answer session takesplace under the chair of NA Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue, and is connected withsites in 62 provinces and centrally-run cities.

In the morning, the Minister of Justice will clearup questions on solutions to improve the quality of the legal system, to dealwith limitations and wrongdoings in the issuance of documents detailing lawsand resolutions adopted by the NA, and ordinances and resolutions by the NAStanding Committee, and to raise the efficiency of asset auction and judicialassessment.

These issues are of public concern, the toplegislator said, noting that the hearing session, the fourth of its kind heldby the 15th NA Standing Committee, is expected to help better thelawmaking and supervision work.

For the Minister of Agriculture and RuralDevelopment, deputies will raise questions relating to solutions to removeobstacles to agricultural product exports and the “yellow card” warningimposed by the European Commission (EC) on Vietnamese seafood, along with foodsecurity and rice exports.

NA Chairman Hue stressed that the domestic farmingsector remains an important economic pillar although it is facing a host of newchallenges. Therefore, the session is hoped to set forth many effectivesolutions to help it create breakthroughs in the time ahead.
