U22 team to leave for 2019 AFF football tourney on Feb 15

The Vietnam’s U22 football team will leave for Cambodia on February 15 to compete at the 2019 ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) U22 Youth Championship, announced the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF).

Hanoi (VNA) – The Vietnam’s U22 football team will leave for Cambodia onFebruary 15 to compete at the 2019 ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) U22 YouthChampionship, announced the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF).

Theregional football tourney is scheduled to take place from February 17-26.

Ahead ofthe event, Vietnam played a friend withthe Republic of Korean’s Ulsan Hyundai FC which ended in a 0-0 draw.

In GroupA, Vietnam will face the Philippines on February 17, Timor Leste on February 19and Thailand two days later.

Group B includes Malaysia, Indonesia, Myanmar andCambodia.

🔴 Two best teams of each group will advanceto the semi-finals.

Speaking with reporters, head coach Nguyen Quoc Tuan said histeam would be in the final. All 16 matches of the 2019 AFF U22 Championshipwill be aired on VTV5 and VTV6.-VNA
