UK education brought closer to Vietnamese students

Hong Kong (VNA) 📖– The second East Asia Education Week was held in Hong Kong (China) from March 5-7 by the British Council, offering a platform for UK alumni, educational experts and partners to connect, discuss and explore latest trends in education and labour market.
High international rankings, many scholarships and grants for international students are strengths of British universities. Meanwhile, the East Asian region, including Vietnam, is promoting educational innovation, especially higher education.
Leighton Ernsberger, Director Education and English for the British Council in East Asia, shared that Vietnam is one of the priority countries of the British Council in building educational partnerships.
Currently, the British Council is focusing a lot on promoting cooperation in pedagogical skills. This aspect is strongly promoted by the Vietnamese Government, which is looking to develop diverse segments of high-quality education.
In addition, the fact that there are many Vietnamese students studying in the UK also makes the British Council pay great attention to Vietnam in its development strategy.
Every year, about 3,200 Vietnamese students choose the UK to study, most commonly in technology, integrated education methods in the four fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM), journalism, media, and arts and creativity. Therefore, the current prominent trend is that international study abroad consulting does not only stop at introducing schools but also supports long-term career orientation for students./.
