Hanoi (VNA) –
The United Nations (UN) welcomes the second summitbetween DPRK leader Kim Jong-un and US President Donald Trump in Hanoi onFebruary 27-28, a UN spokesperson said at a press briefing on February 26.

Stephane Dujarric, spokesperson of UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, said theUN strongly welcomes the dialogue.

Chairman of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK)and the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea(DPRK) Kim Jong-un and US President Donald Trump are expected to meet first on February27 evening before having a dinner together. 

The two sides will hold discussions on February 28 joined by their respectivedelegates.

Issues such as a roadmap for denuclearisation, the easing of sanctions againstthe DPRK and whether to issue a declaration ending the Korean War are expectedto be on the agenda.-VNA
