– Indonesian President Joko Widodo andhis US counterpart Donald Trump are scheduled to meet sometime in the nearfuture to discuss investment in Indonesia’s new capital city in EastKalimantan.

According to Indonesian Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairsand Investment Luhut Pandjaitan, the US government’s interest to get involvedin the development of the new capital was conveyed by its senior advisor andTrump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner, at a meeting in Washington, D.C lastOctober.

Kushner said Indonesia’s plan to move the capitalcity is very visionary and persuaded President Trump to have detaileddiscussions on investment in East Kalimantan, Pandjaitan said.

The meeting between Jokowi and Trump will alsoprovide a chance for the two leaders to discuss Indonesia's plan to create itsown Sovereign Wealth Fund (SWF), the minister added. /.
