USAID-funded project benefits disabled in Binh Phuoc
Hundreds of persons with disabilities in the southern province of Binh Phuoc have benefited from a 2015-2018 project funded by the US Agency for International Development (USAID) which helps them fully integrate into society.

Reports delivered at a ceremony to review the project held in the locality onMarch 21 said the project aimed to enhance legal aid ability forthe disabled and propose plans to help disabled persons access information andpublic transportation.
Training courses on life skills, legal policy and gender-based violenceprevention were organised for 328 disabled persons in the locality. Meanwhile, 275others were provided with consultations related to preferential loans, socialwelfares and employment policies.
The project also gave rehabilitationservices to the targeted group.
Binh phuoc is home to about 12,745 people with disabilities, with 7,168 of whombeing provided with monthly social allowance.-VNA
The Ministry of Education and Training in collaboration with CRS Vietnam held a conference to gather feedback on a draft circular on integration education for people with disabilities.
The Vietnam Children’s Fund presented cash scholarships and 200 gifts, each worth 1 million VND, and 500,000 VND, respectively, to needy children in My Hao district, Hung Yen province on December 24.
