Moscow (VNA) – Uzbekistan considers Vietnam an important partner and abridge to help the Central Asian country build relations with other SoutheastAsian nations, said Uzbekistani Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov.

The Uzbekistan official made the statement when receiving a letter of credentials presented by VietnameseAmbassador to Russia and Uzbekistan Ngo Duc Manh at the Uzbekistan Embassy in Moscowon December 21.

During the meeting, Kamilov spoke highly of hiscountry’s traditional relations and sound friendship with Vietnam, expressingthe hope to expand cooperation with the Southeast Asian country in agricultureand light industry.

He briefed on Uzbekistan’s socio-economic development achievements in recentyears, affirming that Uzbekistan maintains win-win cooperation with itsneighbours and foreign partners.

In an interview with the National Television of Uzbekistan after the meeting, AmbassadorManh highlighted the friendly bilateral relations, saying that Vietnam wants topromote the exchange of delegations at all levels, economic and trade cooperationand people-to-people exchange between the two countries.

He took the occasion to thank theUzbekistani Embassy in Moscow for its effective cooperation with its Vietnamesecounterpart, thus contributing to strengthening multifaceted cooperation betweenthe two nations./.
