Binh Dinh (VNA) – The 13th Meet Vietnam programmefeatures 13 international workshops and five training courses on science incentral Binh Dinh province’s Quy Nhon city from March 6-10.

Chairman of the Meet Vietnam Association Tran Thanh Van said thescientific workshops and thematic courses focus on neutrino physics, quantumphysics, nanophysics and cosmology alongside those on medicine, mathematics,and communication technology.

The workshops and courses bring together international scientists fromaround the world to Vietnam to share their latest research results. About 1,700foreign scientists scheduled to take part in this year’s events and meet withlocal students and young scientists.

An International Conference on Environmental Pollution, Restoration, andManagement at the International Centre for Interdisciplinary Science andEducation (ICISE) in Quy Nhon city was the opening event of the 13th Meet Vietnam programme in 2017.

Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Tran Hong Ha chaired theconference and held a dialogue with foreign scientists on Vietnam’senvironmental issues and environmental protection strategies.-VNA

🔯 PM calls for cooperation with Sweden in nuclear energy technology

The PM revealed Vietnam’s plan to develop nuclear power in the near future, and called on the Swedish side to assist Vietnam in developing and refining legal and policy frameworks for the use of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes; training and developing human resources; ensuring nuclear safety; and conducting training and drills to improve incident management capabilities.
