Venezuela wishes to boost solidarity and friendship with Vietnam,President of the National Assembly of Venezuela Fernando Soto Rojassaid.
The Venezuelan parliamentary leader expressed hisaspiration while meeting with Vice President of the Vietnam FatherlandFront (VFF) Central Committee Nguyen Van Pha in Hanoi on Nov. 1.
He highly valued the achievements of the Vietnamese Party, State and people during national construction and development.
Phasaid that besides uniting people from all walk of life, the VFF madegreat contributions to building administration, supervision ofoperations of State-owned agencies, organisation of patriotism movementsand diplomatic affairs of the country.
Pha said the VFF willwork together with the Vietnamese Party, State and people to bolsterfriendship and cooperation between the two countries and develop theVietnam-Venezuela relationship to a new height.
The same day,Venezuelan National Assembly President Fernando Soto Rojas had workingsessions with the Ethnic Minority Council and the Committee for SocialAffairs of the National Assembly of Vietnam.
At the session,Chairman of the Ethnic Minority Council K’sor Phuoc affirmed that theVietnamese Party and State always pay attention to works and policies onethnic minorities, considering ethnic minority affairs and nationalunity a long-term strategic issue.
He expressed his wish that theparliaments of Vietnam and Venezuela would boost cooperation andexperience exchanges, to ensure the rights and benefits of people. Inthe future the council will send a mission to Venezuela to learnabout national policies and law building for ethnic minorities.
Chairwomanof the Committee for Social Affairs Truong Thi Mai spoke aboutVietnam ’s achievements in population, healthcare and other socialaffairs.
Fernando Soto Rojas expressed his admiration onVietnam ’s political, diplomatic, economic and social achievements andpromised to try his best to boost relations between the two countriesand parliaments./.
