Vice President attends Global Summit of Women in Malaysia

This year’s event, themed“Women:Creating New Economies” will highlight the significantcontributions women have made to restructure the economies and changethe markets.

Doan along with other representativeswill discuss Vietnamese women’s role and their contributions to thecountry’s socio-economic development, State attention given to promotinggender equality and the advancement of women and Vietnamese policies onthe implementation of millennium goals on gender equality.

The Vietnamese delegation will also share experience, give opinions onGSW topics and examine ways to promote international cooperation forthe advancement of women in various fields.

The annualGlobal Summit of Women aims to raise public awareness of genderequality and women role in the society. The event has always received apositive response from State, parliamentary and business femaleleaders.-VNA
