Da Nang (VNA) – Two Vietnam Airlines flightslanded in Da Nang airport on October 12, carrying more than 330 passengers fromsouthern localities to the central city.
The passengers included 21 medical workers who have completed their mission of supporting pandemic control activities in southern localities.
The others are mostly people havingspecial circumstance such as pregnant women, relatives of dead victims ofCOVID-19, people discharged from hospital in the recent six months, and theelderly.
The flights were operated with the sponsorship of Da NangInternational Terminal Investment and Operation JSC and the support of the People’sCommittee of Da Nang as well as relevant agencies and the national-flag carrierVietnam Airlines.
All the passengers had tested negative to SARS-CoV-2 within 72 hours before departure and will undergo quarantine in line with regulations. Strict pandemic safetymeasures were applied during the flights.
Earlier, VietnamAirlines also carried over 600 Da Nang migrants back to the city in late July. As COVID-19 has been gradually contained in many localitiesand restriction measures have been loosened, the airline is working withlocalities to build plans to bring migrant workers back to their hometown in a safe manner,while continuing with the transport of frontline forces and medical supplies, and gradually resuming domestic passenger transport activities./.
A Vietnam Airlines flight has brought 130 students of Hanoi Medical University and hundreds of medical workers, who finished their tasks of helping Ho Chi Minh City and southern localities, fight COVID-19, back to Hanoi.
National flag carrier Vietnam Airlines will resume two-way flights between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang; between Ho Chi Minh City and Hai Phong, Vinh, Thanh Hoa, Quy Nhon, Hue, Da Nang, Quang Nam, Dong Hoi, Nha Trang, Tuy Hoa and Phu Quoc; and between Thanh Hoa and Da Lat, starting from October 10.
