Hanoi (VNA) –𒁃 Vietnam Airlines will launch a sales promotion for its flights from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to various destinations across Southeast Asia.
Under the ten-day programme, which begins on January 14, a round ticket for journeys made during 2016 will cost between 200,000 VND (9 USD) and 1.4 million VND (63 USD) before tax, other fees and charges.
The promotional tickets will be applied for flights on routes to Jakarta, Bangkok, Singapore, Yangon and Kuala Lumpur.
Tickets will be available at Vietnam Airlines’ website, booking offices and sales agents nationwide.
This is the second time such a regional promotion has been carried out by the national flag carrier.
Earlier, Vietnam Airlines announced an additional 800 flights with 136,000 seats will be added on 22 routes, from January 26 to February 24, to meet the anticipated extra demand during the Lunar New Year (Tet) holiday.
The airline conducted over 127,500 safe flights in 2015, representing a year-on-year increase of 3.5 percent.
It transported more than 17.4 million passengers during the year, earning 69.3 trillion VND (3.08 billion USD) in revenue, and 1.4 trillion VND (62.2 million USD) in pre-tax profit, 129 percent higher than the set target.-VNA
