In the first half of 2024, the country’s national flag carrier transported 27 tonnes of vaccines, helping ensure the timely and safe delivery of vaccines to various regions of the country.
Besides, it has also collaborated with the Central Institute of Haematology and Blood Transfusion on blood product transportation. Since 2023, Vietnam Airlines has facilitated the transfer of over 22 tonnes of blood units between provinces, aiding in the national blood supply network.
Deputy General Director of Vietnam Airlines Dang Anh Tuan said by supporting the transport of vaccines and blood products, the company has contributed to public health efforts and mitigate disease risks./.
