Vietnam among top 10 countries for retirement: report

According to International Living, Vietnam’s exceptionally low cost of living is a major incentive for living here. Even in the most expensive cities such as Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, two people can live well for less than $1,500 per month.
Vietnam has joined a list of 10 ideal destinations for pensioners in 2020. The country scored 76 points out of 100 on the Retirement Index compiled by International Living, an Irish publishing company that focuses on retiring overseas. Portugal is the top retirement country with 86 points, followed by Panama (85.8) and Costa Rica (85.3). Vietnam scored 76 points and was ranked 10th on the list.
