Vietnam-ASOCIO Smart City Summit to take place next month

The Vietnam – ASOCIO Smart City Summit 2021 will be held next month by the Vietnam Software Association and the Asian-Oceanian Computing Industry Organisation (ASOCIO).
Hanoi (VNA) – The Vietnam – ASOCIO Smart CitySummit 2021 will be held next month by the Vietnam Software Association (VINASA) and theAsian-Oceanian Computing Industry Organisation (ASOCIO).

Themed “Smart City,” the event will be held from November2 – 6 via video conference to discuss latest technology trends in smart city. Itis expected to be attended by about 10,000 delegates from Vietnam and overseas.

The event provides a platform for experts to shareinformation and practices in developing smart cities and improving livingstandards of urban citizens through 14 discussions across five topics – DigitalGovernment, Smart Real Estate, Smart Industrial Parks, Products/Solutions forSmart City, and Startup with Smart City.

It also features a virtual exhibition of e-Governmentsolutions, services and platforms in multiple areas.

The government approved a project for sustainabledevelopment of smart cities in Vietnam from 2018 – 2025, with a vision towards2030, in August 2018. Since then, some 40 cities and provinces in the country have developedand adopted their own smart city plans./.

The PM revealed Vietnam’s plan to develop nuclear power in the near future, and called on the Swedish side to assist Vietnam in developing and refining legal and policy frameworks for the use of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes; training and developing human resources; ensuring nuclear safety; and conducting training and drills to improve incident management capabilities.
