During a three-day session, participants atthe SCCR/44 will discuss the draft treaty for the protection of broadcastingorganisations, reports on limitations and exceptions for libraries and archives,report on limitations and exceptions for educational and research institutionsand for persons with other disabilities. Other matters for discussion include a proposalfor Analysis of Copyright Related to the Digital Environment, a proposal fromSenegal and Congo to include the Resale Right (droit de suite) in the Agenda ofFuture Work by the Standing Committee on Copyright and Related Rights of theWorld Intellectual Property Organisation, and a proposal on the Part of theRussian Federation With Regard to Strengthening the Protection of TheatreDirectors’ Rights at the International Level./.
The registrations of copyright and relevant rights in Vietnam increased from 8-10% annually over the past years, heard a workshop held by the Copyright Office of Vietnam (COV) under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in Hanoi on November 11.
