Vietnam-Chile association strengthens bilateral ties

The call was made at the 2 nd Congress of theAssociation on December 19 in Hanoi , which announced the new22-member executive board headed by Vietnamese Ambassador to ChileNguyen Van Tich.
In the new term, the Association was asked toexpand its network and be proactive, flexible, creative and efficient inoperation and activities.
Present the event, Chilean ambassadorto Vietnam Fernando Urrutia shared the view, underlining that theassociation should outline more practical activities to further promotemutual understanding between the two peoples.
Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Union of Friendship OrganisationsNguyen Van Kien highlighted the association’s efforts to consolidatepeople’s mutual understanding and foster the development ofpeople-to-people exchanges as well as bilateral trade ties in the oldterm.
Kien also presented certificates of merit andthe insignia “For Friendship and Peace among nations” to theassociation’s individual members and collective staff for their activepart in stepping up the country’s people-to-people exchanges withChile. /.VNA
The trip will be made at the invitations of Chinese Premier Li Qiang and WEF President and CEO Børge Brende, according to an announcement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
